We’re delighted to share news of a new open, A Gift from Zac. Zac’s fund is being used to provide grants to give financial support to children and young people with a cancer diagnosis.
Overview
Zac’s fund is being used to provide grants to give financial support to children and young people, aged up to and including 21 years of age with a cancer diagnosis.
Funding may be awarded to support their treatment, where it cannot otherwise be obtained free of charge, but also, at the discretion of the awardees, on any related expenses, including, but not limited to, respite, travel expenses, educational catch up, gifts, special outings and end-of-life palliative care.
The value of awards may vary depending on the need of the individual, and will be determined on a case by case basis.
Eligibility
The fund will primarily benefit people based in the ceremonial county of Shropshire (including Telford & Wrekin). Applications from outside of Shropshire may be made at the discretion of the awardees.
Open to support to children and young people aged up to and including 21 years of age.
Awards for organisations may be for an amount that is commensurate with the project and scope of work they will be undertaking.
Application dates
The scheme opened on 1 December 2023.
Phase 1 closes on the 19 January 2024.
